Yuichiro Katsumoto

Yuichiro Katsumoto is an artist of gadget making and an educator. He creates transformable gadgets to change our daily routines, common senses, and stereotypes. He studied a video production and an interaction design at Keio University SFC. After getting PhD, he moved to Singapore and worked at National University of Singapore for eight years. In October 2018, he came back to Japan and launched his own studio Katsumotoy. In 2019, he started teaching art and design at Tokyo Denki University.
勝本 雄一朗 ガジェット作家。学生時代より変化や遷移する装置を作り続けている。2010年から2018年にかけてシンガポールに居住し、情報機器の研究開発に従事。2018年秋に日本へ帰国し、Katsumotoyとして活動を開始。2019年春より東京電機大学理工学部に着任、うつろいの研究室を立ち上げる。
